What we do: Awareness | Detection |Treatment | Rehabilitation | Research | FAQ | Membership

Cancer is a major health problem in Nigeria and the burden of cancer is continually increasing. The Nigerian Cancer Society is dedicated to lessening the suffering and limiting the number of lives lost from cancer in our country, and helps to build capacity for cancer prevention, treatment (including palliative care) and research. It also prioritizes public awareness in order to improve access to needed care.

There are three different categories of NCS Membership:

  • Individual Membership is open to individuals.
  • Institutional Membership is open to academic institutions, hospitals, cancer centers, NGOs, foundations, cancer organizations and professional societies.
  • Corporate Membership is open to all conglomerates and limited liability companies that wish to support cancer control initiatives.
